Volunteer Trainee East Cornwall Reserves Officer

Bush Farm, Pillaton, Saltash PL12 6QY
Assisting the reserves team in all areas of estate work, to include practical habitat maintenance/restoration, biodiversity surveys and livestock work.

Working hours:         4 days a week, 8.30am-4.30pm

Join the East Cornwall Nature Reserves team as a trainee and gain skills vital for starting a career in the wildlife and countryside sector. You will have an active hand in practical conservation and land management across a range of habitats and develop your wildlife knowledge and volunteer leadership skills.

Formal training package to include Chainsaw, Tractor, First Aid, Brushcutter and Pesticides Application. Species identification and surveying courses are also available.

We have an excellent track record of trainees going on to find employment in the conservation sector.     

Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential, however applicants must enjoy working outdoors and be physically fit to undertake practical tasks. A commitment of 4 days a week for 12 months.
