Speaker Network Talk

Speaker Network

Our network of volunteer speakers around Cornwall can deliver inspiring talks and presentations about our work. You can discover more about what we do and how your support makes a huge difference in creating a Cornwall where nature thrives. This opportunity doesn't have a charge, but by learning about the impact of Cornwall Wildlife Trust's vital nature-based activities, we hope you feel able to make a donation - most groups inviting us to provide a talk donate around £45.

Our presentations are about Cornwall Wildlife Trust in general, with an overview of the wonderful work that we do such as restoration projects, re-introduction schemes, and community activities. We are currently unable to provide subject-specific presentations through this programme. However, you can scroll down for seal and beaver talks, as well as to hear about the inspirational work of Rupert Kirkwood, the wildlife photographer also known as the Lone Kayaker.

Click the button below to request a speaker and they will be in contact with you to arrange the talk.

Please note: due to the voluntary nature of our Speaker Network, some requests may not be met. If your requested date is far in the future and you haven't heard back within a few weeks of your request, please try again nearer the time by contacting Supporter Care, supportercare@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk

Groups must be able to provide screen/projector facilities to show a PowerPoint presentation. If this isn't possible, there may be the option for the Speaker to arrange hosting the talk at the CWT HQ in Allet, Truro.

We are working on an updated opportunity for primary schools to request a talk. These will be for children aged 5-11 to learn about the fantastic wildlife that we have here in Cornwall to raise awareness of how to care for wildlife locally. It's a great way to inspire the next generation of wildlife conservationists in Cornwall.

We will share more info when this is available.

Please note: Our Speakers are not DBS checked, we ask that a qualified teacher is present at all times during the presentation.

If you have any queries about the primary school presentation at all, please email Supporter Care, supportercare@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk

For specialised talks, please see the choices below. Please note that these are separate from Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Speaker Network programme, so please liaise with the facilitators directly and click on the respective links to organise a talk.
