Capturing Cornwall’s wildlife in Charity Calendar

Majestic local wildlife features in Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s annual charity calendar for 2020, now on sale, with thirteen stunning images of mammals, birds, marine life and more, and it is a reminder that it is not just the landscape which is beautiful in Cornwall but also the creatures which make it their home.

The photographs, some taken by Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s photographic group, and some chosen through a photography competition, showcase the incredible talent there is in Cornwall.

February features a Barn Owl at Gribben Head by Ian McCarthy, esteemed cinematographer, whose Wild Cornwall film has been seen by over 2,000 people.

Each month features a stunning shot of Cornish wildlife in its natural habitat, whilst also highlighting the ‘species of the month’ encouraging the public to get out and explore the local wildlife around Cornwall. The calendar also celebrates its Cornish roots with dates and months in Cornish, as well as Cornish celebrations throughout the year.

Cornwall Wildlife Trust ensures it continues to protect wildlife and wild places in Cornwall by only producing a calendar that is printed on sustainable and recyclable materials, including a biodegradable wrapping.

“At only £6.50 a calendar, this beautiful representation of Cornwall’s wildlife is a brilliant addition to any household. Whether as a gift for family, friends, or yourself, Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s annual calendar is a great way to show your support for a local charity”.

“As a charity, Cornwall Wildlife Trust has been sponsored by 13 local businesses, ensuring that all profits from the sale of the calendar go directly to protecting Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places for generations to come; Avanti Gas, Classic Cottages, Aspects Holidays, The Olde House, Cornish Riviera TLC, Silverlake Design, Biffa, The Pirate Bus, Watson Marlow, St Eval Candle Company, PSP Insurance & Financial Solutions and Chelonia. We would like to thank all of the sponsors for their generosity.”
