About the event

Join us in Luxulyan on Wednesday 30th July, from 10:00 to 15:00, to learn about different grasses and how to identify them. This workshop will be in two parts - the first half of the day we will be indoors learning about different grasses and how to ID them, and in the afternoon we will be out in the field putting our new skills to the test.

The day will be suitable for both beginners and those looking for a refresher! We will also have a brief discussion about relevant volunteering opportunities you could get involved with using your skills from this session, for those interested in next steps. However, attending the workshop doesn't commit you to volunteering, so please do come along if you simply wish to take part on the day. The location for the morning session will be confirmed with attendees closer to the time.

Important Information:

Please wear walking boots or shoes you're happy to get muddy in, and bring appropriate clothing for the weather. The outdoor space can be muddy and uneven, and in the event of rain we will not have much shelter for the afternoon session.

Light refreshments will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch.

Toilets will be available throughout the morning session, and at the beginning and end of the outdoor session.

This event is open to all, but we do require under 18's to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will also need to sign up.

The workshop will be led by Budding Nature and has been made possible thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Spaces are limited so if you are no longer able to attend, please let us know ASAP to allow someone else the opportunity.

If you have any questions about this workshop, please contact Sasha either via email at sasha.pinto@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk or call on 07508499021.
