About the event

Exploring rockpools near the Time and Tide Bell. What might we find? Maybe a starfish or a crab!

Join marine experts from Friends of Par Beach for our Rockpool Ramble at Par Beach

Wear wellies/jellies or sand shoes. 

Bring any ID guides you have plus a collecting bucket. 

We'll bring specimen trays and guides to assist you. 

A free, family friendly event but children MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian please. 

We'll only cancel if very rainy/windy on the day!

Mobility

Please note that this event is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility due to the uneven terrain on the shore and the access down to the beach. 

There are public toilets located in the car park

It is not compulsory to participate for the full two hours although we ask that you arrive at the start time for our safety briefing.

What to bring

Bring wrap warm layers, waterproofs and wear appropriate footwear for rockpooling – we recommend wellies or wetsuit boots. NO FLIP FLOPS ALLOWED.

Also a rockpool guide if you have one.
