About the event

The pressures of modern working life can take their toll on even the most resilient teams. Between demanding workloads, constant connectivity and the pace of modern business, stress and burnout are becoming increasingly common challenges for employers and employees alike.

Taking place during Stress Awareness Week, this Wild Wellbeing Day has been designed specifically for businesses looking to support staff wellbeing, reduce stress and strengthen team connections. It offers employees the opportunity to step away from their desks, switch off from the everyday, reconnect with nature and return feeling refreshed, inspired and re-energised.

Research by the Mental Health Foundation found that 49% of UK adults say being close to nature helps them cope with stress, while 70% say it improves their mood.

Join Cornwall Wildlife Trust in our beautiful new Community Wellbeing Garden at Five Acres, where your team will enjoy a restorative day immersed in nature, creativity, good food and meaningful connection with colleagues and like-minded professionals.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Taking part in nature connection and mindfulness activities
  • Exploring the wildlife-rich woodland, meadow and bog habitats around Five Acres
  • Learning traditional and creative nature-based crafts such as willow weaving, wreath making and flower pressing
  • Getting hands-on with seed sowing and habitat creation
  • Connecting with people from businesses across Cornwall in a relaxed and supportive setting
  • Taking time to slow down, recharge and focus on your wellbeing

A Shared Lunch at the Heart of the Day

One of the highlights of the day will be preparing and sharing a communal homemade lunch together.

Using fresh ingredients harvested from the wellbeing garden wherever possible, participants will help prepare a delicious seasonal meal before gathering around the fire to enjoy it together.

More than just lunch, this shared experience is an opportunity to connect with others, enjoy meaningful conversation and experience the simple wellbeing benefits of preparing and sharing food in nature.

Hot and cold drinks will be available throughout the day, and we will cater for dietary requirements wherever possible [please indicate requirements when booking!]
