CIoS Marine and Coastal Partnership Pledge

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Marine and Coastal Partnership has reached a point where a small amount of shared funding is needed each year to keep the partnership running effectively.

To maintain coordination and a dedicated member of staff for three days a week, we need to raise at least £27,000 annually. We are keeping this as a voluntary donation rather than a membership fee or contractual requirement. Contributions are optional, but if the total cannot be raised, we may need to explore alternative ways of coordinating the partnership.

To help us plan, we are asking all partner organisations to complete the pledge form below, including those who may not be in a position to contribute financially. This will help us understand overall capacity across the partnership and plan next steps fairly.

Please complete the form by the end of February 2026. If the funding target is met, invoices for pledged amounts will be issued at the start of the new financial year in April 2026.

We recognise that organisations have very different capacities to contribute. To support decision-making, we have included indicative guidance based on ability to pay and the scale of benefit from a well-coordinated marine programme. These are not fixed charges, simply a framework to help you judge what feels appropriate.

  • Tier 1 – £1,500–£2,000
Large commercial entities, government bodies, utilities, and major harbours.
  • Tier 2 – £250–£500
Public bodies, larger NGOs, marine networks, and mid-scale organisations.
  • Tier 3 – £0–£150
Small charities, community groups, and micro businesses.

You are welcome to pledge at any of the tiers listed above, below, or in line with them. If you can contribute more, this will help ease pressure on smaller organisations.
