Entries now closed for the 2026 Wildlife Photography Competition

Thanks to everyone who submitted images in one of our six categories

The Cornwall Wildlife Trust photography competition is back for it's third year.

Thanks to everyone who's celebrated wild Cornwall through the lens of your cameras, or smartphones. We're delighted to see so many photographs entered that shine a light on our dramatic coastlines, incredible marine life, the wonders of nature, and the challenges facing our natural world. 

Entries are now being prepared for our judges to review and pick their winners, we'll be announcing the next stages very soon, ahead of a launch event at Truro Cathedral on Wednesday 28 October, tickets available very soon.

The competition closed on 13 September 2026.

This year's categories

Nature on the Edge - capturing the challenges facing Cornwall's wildlife and habitats, from climate change and pollution to the impact of people on the natural world. Sponsored by Verdant Brewing.

Beneath the Surface - celebrating Cornwall's incredible marine environment, from kelp forests and reefs to whales, fish and the people exploring beneath the waves. 

Coasts & Tides - showcasing the life, wildlife and people that make Cornwall's coastline so special. Sponsored by Koru Kayaking.

Nature in Your Pocket - a smartphone-only category celebrating those everyday moments of wild Cornwall that anyone can capture. Sponsored by St Eval.

A Cornwall Where Nature Thrives - highlighting stories of hope, nature recovery and the people making a positive difference for wildlife.  Sponsored by Classic Cottages. 

Young Photographer - for young people with a passion for wildlife and photography. Sponsored by Seasalt Cornwall.
