About the event

Through the Cornwall National Landscapes Natural Beauty and the Beast Project, Cornwall Wildlife Trust is hosting a series of community engagement events designed to help local people connect with the wildlife found along rivers and streams. During this event, attendees will learn more about beaver ecology and how to track their activity out in the field.

In February 2026, Cornwall Wildlife Trust carried out one of England’s first licensed wild beaver releases, introducing beavers to the Par catchment, with further releases planned for the Fowey. Join our Beaver Team to learn more about beaver ecology and how to spot signs of their presence. The morning begins with an indoor talk from our beaver experts, followed by a visit to a beaver site to look for field signs of their activity.
