About the event

Join Falmouth Marine Conservation for a fun and educational adventure at Gyllyngvase Beach on Sunday 27h July at 2:00pm.

Embark on an exciting Rockpool Ramble with our knowledgeable local guides and explore the captivating world of rockpools. Discover fascinating marine life, uncover hidden creatures, and learn about the diverse ecosystem of the rocky shore. The event is open to everyone - whether you’re a seasoned nature lover, a curious explorer, or a first-time adventurer, you’ll be amazed by the underwater wonders that await you.

What to Bring:

  • Suitable Clothing: The coast can be breezy, so don’t forget to bring layers to stay comfortable.
  • Sturdy Footwear: Be sure to wear sturdy shoes that can handle the rocky shore and wet conditions.

Meeting Location: Please meet us by the lifeguard hut at Gyllyngvase Beach.

Important Information: All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Mobility

Please note that this event is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility due to the uneven terrain on the shore and the access down to the beach. 

There are public toilets located on the beach.

It is not compulsory to participate for the full hour although we ask that you arrive at the start time for our safety briefing.

What to bring

Bring wrap warm layers, waterproofs and wear appropriate footwear for rockpooling – we recommend wellies or wetsuit boots. NO FLIP FLOPS ALLOWED.
