Open Gardens - Trenarth
About the event
A 4 Acre garden set around a 17th century farmhouse in a lovely pastoral setting with wonderful panoramic views with not a road in sight or sound.  There is much to enjoy and see; a 16th century courtyard, listed garden walls, gravel and palm area, unusual plants, yew rooms, vegetable garden, orchard, and woodland area. it is  quirky and child-friendly garden , with a children's garden trail. Wander down the ancient green lane walk to the old animal pond, on through woods to Trenarth Bridge, then back up through another woodland footpath.
Trenarth is gardened to promote abundant wildlife; water and bog features, a maternity roost of lesser horseshoe bats and plants to encourage birds, butterflies, and insects all year round. This year there will also be apple pressing with the chance to try a variety of apple juices.

An exciting opportunity to become part of the team... Could you be our next Open Gardens Volunteer Co-ordinator?Â
Our Open Gardens programme is managed entirely by dedicated volunteers. Our talented coordinators help us in finding suitable gardens, communicating with garden owners, and overseeing the event days themselves - all contributing to create a Cornwall where nature can thrive.
We are looking for new volunteer coordinators to join this wonderful team. Find out more and apply below.Â
