Making a Will
Your options when making a Will
Making a Will is deeply personal, and one of the most important ways to make sure your wishes are understood and respected. Some people also choose to leave a gift to a charity they care about, but this is always entirely your decision.
Cornwall Wildlife Trust works with a number of independent will-writing providers to help supporters who wish to make a Will. There is no obligation to leave a gift to Cornwall Wildlife Trust in order to use any of these services:
Make a Will Online
You can choose to make your Will online through Make a Will Online, which allows you to create a Will securely and conveniently in minutes, at no cost to you. All documents are fully checked by a solicitor. This service also includes free access to Capacity Vault, allowing you to protect the wishes in your Will online.
When you use the Make a Will Online service and choose to leave a gift to Cornwall Wildlife Trust, we receive information from the provider. This includes when a Will is made, the type and size of any gift, your contact details and your year of birth. Where you provide consent, this allows us to thank you and share updates about the impact of your generosity. However, we completely understand that some supporters prefer to leave a gift in confidence. If you’d like to do so, you can use this Make a Will Online link to make your Will privately. However you decide to remember us, we are deeply grateful for your support.
Lacuna Wills
Some supporters prefer to make their Will face-to-face with a professional Will writer. If this is the case, you may wish to contact Lacuna Wills, a Cornwall based independent will-writing firm that offers a number of free Wills each year to supporters of Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
If you would like to explore this option, you can contact Lacuna Wills directly via the link below and decide whether their service is right for you.
Make a Will with a solicitor
You may prefer to instruct a solicitor of your own choosing, particularly if you have a high value estate (details here) or complex requirements - or simply because this feels like the right approach for you.
Cornwall Wildlife Trust cannot advise you about how to write your Will, and you should feel completely comfortable with any decisions you make. To find a solicitor, you can visit the Law Society website.
If you do choose to include a gift to Cornwall Wildlife Trust, please ask your solicitor to use our full details:
- Name: Cornwall Wildlife Trust
- Charity number: 214929
- Registered address: Five Acres, Allet, Truro, TR4 9DJ
A personal choice
The will-writing services mentioned above (including our partners) do so independently and will act only on your instructions and in your interests. Cornwall Wildlife Trust does not recommend one provider over another, and is not involved in providing any legal advice. You are under no obligation to leave us a gift, even when using any of the services mentioned above.
However, if you do choose to remember Cornwall Wildlife Trust in your Will, we are deeply grateful.
