Cornwall Wildlife Trust launches its first Christmas advert

In a week that has seen the eagerly awaited Christmas advert from retailer John Lewis, alongside a host of other festive campaigns, conservation charity Cornwall Wildlife Trust has released its own Christmas advert, a reminder of the importance of nature.

Starring members of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust team and their relatives, the advert takes viewers on a journey through Cornish landscapes before ending with a shared flask while admiring the view. In this season of giving, the advert is a gentle reminder of the quiet role that nature plays in our lives, whether it's a walk after a big lunch, a wild swim on a winter morning, or a bracing stroll along the coast. It is designed to inspire people to appreciate the beauty of Cornwall and the landscapes, seascapes, and wildlife that the Trust is working so hard to protect.

Created by Cornish production company Bull & Wolf, the advert stars Milly, Digital Marketing Officer at Cornwall Wildlife Trust, alongside Roger, the father of one of the team, and was mostly filmed at the Trust's Helman Tor nature reserve.

Faye Treffry, Brand & Communications Manager at Cornwall Wildlife Trust said:

“We started work on this project last November, inspired by all the Christmas advertising campaigns being released and thinking wouldn’t it be lovely to tell the story of nature in Cornwall in a similar way. Working with Joe and his team at Bull & Wolf, they really understood our vision and helped bring it to life. We’re really proud of the finished advert and hope it reminds people of the quiet but important role that nature plays in all our lives, and of the places and wildlife we're working to protect.”
