Summer at Helman Tor: A Guided Walk
About the event
Join us at 10:00 on Thursday 23rd July at Gunwen Chapel, for a guided walk around Breney Common, part of our Helman Tor reserve, and discover the incredible wildlife that thrives here in summer.
Led by our Reserves Officer, on this walk you'll learn about the habitats and species that call Breney Common home, as well as the rewilding and conservation management techniques being used to support biodiversity and build resilience for the future.
This event is part of the Tor to Shore project, which has been made possible thanks to National Lottery players, through the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Please meet us by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust flag in the car park opposite Gunwen Chapel, where we'll begin our guided walk onto the reserve. The walk will be taken at a relaxed pace, with plenty of opportunities to stop, observe wildlife and ask questions.
Important information
- There will be toilet facilities available at the meeting point.
- The route includes uneven ground and natural terrain. Although the walk will be at a gentle pace, participants should be comfortable walking and standing for extended periods.
- Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring water if needed.
We look forward to welcoming you for a morning of wildlife, conservation and exploring one of Cornwall's special places.
