About the event

Over a quarter of a century, Bolts Quarry Farm has been transformed by its owners George and Jackie from sparse to resplendent. Where once little grew, there is now a wildlife attracting pond and bog garden, a quarry garden, and a wildlife area. Nestling above these is a two-acre, granite strewn, hillside with broadleaf woodland where you’ll find a circular walk and granite spoil heap. Visit the Mowhay rock garden, planted with flowers and shrubs and see the wildflower meadow humming with insects as it comes into bloom. Wander along the winding paths of a field planted with trees and head to the front garden with its perennial planted borders. Chat to the owners about their passion for plants and nature – it’s been an incredible learning curve for them, and they are happy to share their knowledge.
