We’re looking for someone with a passion for volunteering to join Cornwall Wildlife Trust. In this role you will oversee the volunteer journey including recruitment, training, support, retention and recognition of volunteers engaged with the Trust including Local Groups and ensure that all aspects of the volunteer programme are delivered to a high standard.
We believe that it’s really important that volunteers have a great experience with CWT so you will ensure they receive training, supervision and feel supported in their role. This role covers a diverse range of volunteers and will involve liaising and working with different departments and groups to encourage best practice across the organisation. You will be the Deputy Safeguarding Officer assisting in ensuring that safeguarding practices and policies are effective and adhered to. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the network of wildlife groups who are affiliated with CWT receive effective support and that a positive relationship is maintained.
Attention to detail is a key skill and you will maintain excellent records using our database; and carry out regular evaluation of the service, ensuring volunteers are at the heart of the process.
This is a full time permanent role, working times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm based at CWT HQ, Allet, Truro. TR4 9DJ.
