A healthy competition within the team ‘Cornwall Wildlip Trust’ which included the highest fundraiser winning a bottle of Tarquin’s gin from Trust Business Supporter Southwestern Distillery saw them raise a fantastic total and achieve a national team ranking of 540th.

The whole Trust really got behind their team for this very important cause and are proud to have raised a significant total for the leading global organisation committed to changing the face of men’s health, which since 2003 has raised £402 million and funded over 1,000 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.

Sean ‘Mo Daddy’ O’Hea, Cornwall Wildlip Trust Team Captain and Mid Cornwall Reserves Manager for Cornwall Wildlife Trust says,

“Once again Cornwall Wildlife Trust staff, volunteers, nearest and dearest have shown their immense generosity in supporting this great cause - not only in financial donations, but in other creative ways like baking and selling cakes in the office. Walking around for a month with a hairy slug on our lips has been valuable in more ways than just fundraising. For me it has sparked conversations with men about health issues which we all face but often avoid discussing. Having survived testicular cancer myself and having dealt with the mental strain of the aftermath I understand the importance of being able to talk about these issues, and of encouraging blokes to see the doc to check out any worries they may have. I’m immensely proud of our Movember team and the Trust for all the work they’ve done!”
