Landowner Workshop: funding and advice for planting trees on your farm
Event details
About the event
Tor to Shore, led by Cornwall Wildlife Trust, and Forest for Cornwall, led by Cornwall Council, warmly invite you to a free tree planting workshop at The Crown Inn, Lanlivery, from 7.30pm to 9pm on Tuesday 22 September.
The evening will begin with short introductions from Dr Gwen Maggs, Tor to Shore Project Manager, and Joe Harris, Forest for Cornwall Programme Lead.
Farmers and landowners will then have the opportunity to explore different approaches to tree planting — including hedgerows, orchards, agroforestry and woodland creation — and discuss the funding available for each.
Forest for Cornwall offers fully funded tree planting and maintenance grants to farmers and landowners across Cornwall. Tor to Shore’s dedicated farm adviser can also guide you through the application process and help make it as straightforward as possible.
The event is intended for farmers and landowners within the Tor to Shore project area, including St Austell, St Blazey, Par, Tywardreath, Polkerris, Porthpean and Luxulyan. Please see the boundary map below for the full project area.
A light sandwich buffet will be provided. Please let us know about any dietary requirements when booking.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing practical ways that trees can support your farm and the wider landscape.
