About the event

For beginners, we’ll explore the calm and sheltered waters of Port Navas Creek. This picturesque spot is steeped in history, featuring charming riverfront houses, tranquil smaller creeks, and lush wooded surroundings. 

For more experienced paddlers, we offer exciting excursions to Frenchman’s Creek or the hidden beaches and caves near Durgan, depending on tides and wind conditions.

  • Group Size: Maximum of 6 people per trip to ensure personal attention.
  • Age Requirement: Minimum age of 12 years.

Arrival instructions

When you arrive at the Budock Vean Hotel drive down the driveway and park car in over-flow carpark which is left at roundabout in front of the hotel. 

Get out of the car and follow the driveway to gate next to new Budock Vean Holiday Homes. Walk through the gate and follow path down hill through the gardens as it veers to the right. Follow the pathway down through the gardens with woodland on the left and a waterfall and gardens on the right. 

Please wear suitable footwear as the path is uneven and give yourself about 10 minutes to stroll down to the foreshore. When you reach the foreshore late a left to the hotel quay and the Koru Kayaking sign on the boatshed where you guide will meet you for your Koru Kayak Adventure. 

Please arrive at least 20 minutes beforehand to give you time to get changed. You can leave all belongings in the boatshed which is locked when we are out on the water.

Please note that the timings may vary due to the tide. The tour will be two hours - most start at 10am and run until 12pm.
 

Public transport: OTS service 35 bus from Falmouth (The Moor) to Helford Passage.

Dogs

No dogs permitted on the tour. Budock Vean Hotel is dog friendly.

Mobility

Sturdy shoes uneven terrain at times down to the foreshore. There are toilets and shower facilities at the boathouse and guests can also use the Budock Vean Hotel for food and refreshments before and after the tour.

At the hotel – free parking. You need to allow 20 mins to walk from the hotel to the boatshed.
