About the event

Join Cornwall Wildlife Trust and the associated Your Shore Network groups for a packed week of brilliant activities and events during National Marine Week!

From Saturday 25th July to Sunday 2nd August, we'll be celebrating and learning about our Cornish coastlines and marine life, why they're important and how to protect them.

Join the CWT Marine Team & Looe Marine Conservation at Hannafore Beach, Looe on Saturday 1st August for a fun-filled day celebrating the incredible marine wildlife and coastal habitats of Looe.

Come and discover what makes our local seas so special through a range of free, family-friendly activities. 

Joined by a host of amazing local marine conservation organisations.

Throughout the day, there will be:

  • beach clean 11am
  • rockpooling (led by Looe MCG) 1pm
  • marine-themed crafts
  • scavenger hunts
  • snorkelling 2:30pm (Booking in advance on Eventbrite required)
  • ...and plenty of opportunities to explore, learn and connect with the amazing marine life found right here on our doorstep.

What to bring

For those who are snorkelling, bring a wetsuit, boots, fins, mask and snorkel as well as a change of clothes. 

Rockpoolers must wear appropraite footwear for slippery and uneven terrain (No Flipflops allowed!)

Limited free parking is available on Marine Drive with pay and display parking located a 20 minute walk away at the Millpool car park (PL13 2AH)
