About the event

There are now just a few places left to run the Eden Marathon or Half Marathon for our Wild Beaver Appeal.  

Not only will you take part in Cornwall’s largest running event through spectacular countryside, you will help to return wild beavers to Cornwall and make a real difference for wildlife. 

You will also receive a pasty and pint at the end of the race, along with a medal and free entry to the Eden Project for you and your supporters!

Run the Eden Project Marathon 

We are recruiting for the following spaces: 

  • 4 Marathon
  • 2 Half Marathon 

By participating in the Eden Marathon and Half Marathon, you will:

  • Receive tailored fundraising support from Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Community Fundraising team from start to finish.
  • Meet like-minded people at Cornwall's biggest running event.
  • Have a tree planted in return for your registration
  • Gain free entry to Eden Project for both you and your supporters on the day
  • Receive a pasty and a beer on the finishing line – where else but Cornwall!?
  • Make a difference to the future of Cornwall’s wildlife

And so many other benefits!

Please note that, for a Marathon place, we ask for £500 in sponsorship in return. For the Half Marathon, we ask for £300.

Dogs

Dogs with supporters are welcome on leads at the Eden Project - but not in the biomes.

Mobility

The course is a hilly, multi-terrain route, with the marathon being roughly 70% on trails, paths and private roads and 30% on public roads. The half-marathon is 60% on public roads and 40% on trails and paths.

What to bring

For those doing the half-marathon the off-road surfaces are generally good underfoot and specialist off-road shoes are not necessary. For those on the marathon the surface is varied and could be wet and muddy, hence trail shoes would be recommended.

Parking information

Runners will receive a pass to a designated free car park where they can take a park-and-ride bus to the start area.
