About the event

On Saturday 14th June, we invite you to join us for FREE* Learn to Snorkel sessions at Bude Sea Pool. Booking is essential.

You’ll learn the basics required to snorkel:

  • How to keep safe when snorkelling
  • Putting on basic equipment and how to use them
  • Breathing underwater with your snorkel 
  • Swimming with fins on 

Whether you’re a beginner or just want to improve your skills, this is a great opportunity to become more confident to engage with your local marine environment. 

So, grab your fins and let’s go!

When? Saturday 14th June 2025 – There will be 2 sessions throughout the day.

Where? Bude Sea Pool

How much? FREE! *Please note that the £5 charge for this event is a deposit payment that will be refunded, as long as you attend the event. If you do not attend the event, then your deposit payment will not be refunded.

Who?

Session 1: 10am - 12pm - Swimmers aged 11 – 18 years of age.

Session 2: 12pm - 2pm - Swimmers aged 18 & over

Please bring along your own kit for snorkelling if you have it (mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and wetsuit boots). However, if you would like to borrow any equipment, please let us know when booking.

A parent or guardian will need to be present at the event with under 16s.

Please note that this event is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility due to the uneven terrain on the shore and the access down to the beach. There are public toilets located at the Sea Pool.
