About the event

Have a Springtime Adventure at historic Pelere Woods with Wild Thymes Forest School. Create nests and mini-dens; dip-dye eggs to take home and challenge yourself with the Golden Dragon Egg game. There’ll be free spicy apple juice, s’mores and popcorn cooked on the campfire.

Meet at unmarked wooden gate entrance to Pelere Wood. Please park considerately along main road using the pull-in area. From Penryn, follow the brown sign for Enys Garden going up Truro Hill. Pass the entrance to Enys and take the first right and continue for half a mile. The entrance to Pelere is on the left (unmarked) next to a pull in area. From Truro, take A39 towards Falmouth. Pass Norway Inn on right and take turning to Mylor/Pandora on left. Follow this road to T junction. Turn left and immediately right and right again. You will see a Cornish hedge wall studded with white quartz stones on your right. The entrance to Pelere is at the end of this wall on the right (unmarked) next to a pull in area. Google map link

Note, there is no toilet on site. Parking is along the main road next to the entrance gate. Access from the main road to the main site is approx. 100 yards and is flat.

How our booking deposit works

We want as many children to enjoy Wildlife Watch events as possible, but have limited places for each event. For this reason we now have a deposit scheme where you pay £5 per child when you book, which is refunded to you within 5 days of attending the event.

If you have booked and want to cancel, you can cancel your booking at least 24 hours beforehand by clicking ‘view and manage order’ on the confirmation email or contacting us by phone and your deposit will be refunded. Anyone booked on an event and is a no-show on the day of the event (or cancels less than 24 hours before the event) will forfeit their deposit.

A booking deposit helps more children enjoy our Wildlife Watch events, particularly for events which are popular and a space cancelled more than 24 hours in advance can be filled by another child on the waiting list.
