DUNE INVERTEBRATES WORKSHOP

Location: Gear Sands, Perranporth, Cornwall
One of a series of ERCCIS biological recording workshops aiming to help develop identification skills. Coastal sand dunes are rich in invertebrates, including beetles, bugs and butterflies, many of which are specially adapted to the habitat and cannot be found elsewhere. In this workshop, we will begin with a classroom session introducing the variety of dune habitats and the invertebrates adapted to those environments, followed by a field trip to Gear Sands. Organised by the Environmental Record Centre for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (ERCCIS)
