A sell out panto performed by The CHOUGHS (Cornwall Healthcare Operatic Unprofessional Generally Humorous Society) has raised £4,328.90 to support our work
The team of healthcare workers from the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust work together to run, write and rehearse their annual pantomimes.
This year, they took to the stage for three nights in February at The Poly, Falmouth, with Appointment with MacDeath, their gloriously chaotic blend of Agatha Christie, Shakespeare and “questionable” special effects.
Organiser Yvonne Hacon said: “Everyone is involved from start to finish, with some surprisingly hidden, and some very overt talents – keep a look out for our next one.
“As our name suggests, we all have a deep love of the natural world, and we hugely admire and want to support the work of Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
“We are always grateful to the people attending, and this year it means we can benefit The Poly theatre and Cornwall Wildlife Trust – and a sellout gives maximum help to these wonderful charities.”
We’ll be sure to let you know about The CHOUGHS next charity panto.
