Our 2024-25 Annual Impact Review is a summary of both our successes and our learnings, giving an assessment of year-on-year progress towards the ambitious targets set in our 2030 Strategy for Nature Recovery in Cornwall.

Over the past year, we’ve come together with communities, fishers, farmers, businesses, volunteers and our wonderful members to make a real difference for Cornwall’s wild places and wildlife. From planting trees and sowing seeds to snorkel surveys and expanding our rewilding efforts, our collective
actions have helped restore habitats and boost biodiversity.

This is the second of a new style of impact review. With the launch of our 2030 Strategy for Nature Recovery in Cornwall in 2024, we set ambitious goals - designed to keep moving us towards a vision of a Cornwall where nature thrives, where our wildlife and wild placed are valued and enjoyed by all.

Our new style of impact reporting allows us to share our journey towards these goals, directed by four main objectives:

  1. Demonstrate what is possible and inspire others through our conservation delivery on the ground.
  2. Support and advise others on how to reduce negative pressures and create positive outcomes for nature.
  3. Engage and mobilise individuals and groups to use their time and resources to participate in or lead practical action.
  4. Campaign and advocate, as we use our collective voice to call for better decisions for nature from those in power

We can't do this alone, everyone has a role to play in tackling the nature crisis, which is why we've set a target of 100,000 people taking meaningful action for nature by 2030. We invite you to explore this impact review and learn about everything that has been achieved so far with your support. And when you've finished, spread the word! Let's work together to halt and then reverse nature's decline, so that future generations can experience the same joys and benefits of nature that many of us have in our lifetimes.

This is our call to action, because everyone has a role in delivering a future Cornwall - where landscapes, coastlines and seas are alive with the sights and sounds of wildlife.
