Race for Wildlife 7 mile Race and 1 mile Fun Run 2013
Our third Race for Wildlife was a fantastic event with nearly 200 people taking part in the 7 mile race and 1 mile Fun Run. A huge thank you to Mounts Bay Harriers for their invaluable help in putting the race together and to all those who turned up to run.
Race for Wildlife 2013 results.
Cornwall Wildlife Trust would like to publicly thank the host of enthusiastic runners and the ever-cheerful marshals and supporters. Thanks go especially to Yvonne Turner, Geoff Letchford and their colleagues from Mount's Bay Harriers. Without their knowledge, experience and hard work such a fantastic event would not be possible. The Trust would also like to thank Penwith College, At Your Pace, Eat Natural, Barefoot Wine, Vegware, Thirsty Work, Pure Blue, The Old Coastguard Hotel and Skinners Brewery for their support and kind donations.
This event is a fundraiser for Cornwall Wildlife Trust with proceeds going towards helping to continue our important work protecting Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places. Those who take part help to make a real difference to their local wildlife. Keep an eye on our website for next years date.
Volunteer to be an event marshal
Volunteer event marshals are essential to the smooth running of the day and we will need lots of help next year (2014) on race day to make it a success! Marshals may have to help direct car parking, stand on the race route to direct runners the correct way, give out water at water stations etc. All necessary training will be given on the morning of the race. If you'd like to volunteer and be part of this special event, please contact the Trust's office on (01872) 273939 or email us via our contact us form.
