Welcome to Cornwall Wildlife Trust's events calendar. Everyone is welcome to attend our events which are held all over Cornwall. Events range from walks and talks to working parties and evening get togethers.

Bude Canal Aquaduct trail part 2
Booking not essential but would be useful. This section of the old canal has many features of historic interest and passes through 2 nature reserves, one a National Reserve. Donations to the Bude Canal Trust welcomed. Dogs on leads are accepted but not encouraged.

May Tree is a small approximately quarter acre garden with numerous seating areas which are both under cover and in the open. This stunning and intimate space has a vegetable garden, pond, gazebos and is home to an array of fascinating plants and species. Guided Walk
Looe Island Nature Reserve guided walk - FULLY BOOKED
Take a boat trip to Looe Island Nature Reserve, just off the coast of Looe, south east Cornwall, then join the warden for a fascinating guided walk around the island. During the three and a half hour visit we’ll help you spot island wildlife such as grey seals and great black-backed gulls. You’ll also learn about the Trust’s work and the challenges of island life. The walks are £20 per person, places are limited and must be booked online in advance.

Booking is essential. Investigate the creepy crawlies that live in the grasslands, Sweep through the meadows and shake a tree to see who calls this lovely reserve their home. The terrain is generally quite rough, rocky and muddy so please wear sturdy footwear. Pond nets are provided.

Seaquest South West: highlights from Cornwall's living seas at Bude
Cat Wilding is the Marine Survey Officer for Cornwall Wildlife Trust. She will be speaking about marine life highlights in Cornwall (from the high tide mark to the enormous basking shark!), focusing on what is found around the north Cornwall coastline. She will talk about the marine conservation work of Cornwall Wildlife Trust and how people can get involved in the exciting Seaquest Southwest project. £3.00, to include tea/coffee.

Wildlife filming and editing course in the Penzance area
Booking is essential. Five day course where you will learn how to create exciting wildlife films through learning the skills of camera work, editing and story creation. You will be filming at the best wildlife locations in Cornwall, including some select Trust nature reserves. Course attendees will have the opportunity to showcase their work on the Trust's website. Scandinavian wildlife at Bude
An illustrated talk by top wildlife photographer, Adrian Langdon. His talk will be a mix of 3 trips: a winter trip to Iceland, looking at icy landscapes, geyser, glaciers, along with Tundra swans and the Northern Lights; a winter trip to Norway to photograph Musk Ox in the snow; a summer visit to photograph the European Brown bears on the Finland-Russia border.

An illustrated talk by Steve Jones on the Wildlife of Spain. Wildlife travels in the Sierra de Grazalema. The Sierra de Grazalema in Spain was designated a Unesco Biosphere Reserve in 1977. Dragonfly enthusiast Steve Jones has been visiting this fantastic area for over a decade and will be showing us his images of the rich & varied wildlife found throughout the Natural Park & the province of Andalucía. Donations taken.

The fascinating Flittermouse at Bude!
Sally Caudle studied Zoology at University with Pat Morris and has always been fascinated by animals, particularly mammals, from bats to whales - and bats are easier to handle! She will explain a little of the biology and life cycle of British bats, identify some of the many species and share her experiences. She has been caring for grounded bats for many years and hopes to bring a live bat for you to meet.

Wilidlife talk "From 40 degrees North" by Oliver Smart in St Austell
Northern latitudes are an attractive prospect for nature photographers. Oliver's journey to the Alaskan Arctic to photograph Polar Bears, the Shetland Isles for thousands of seabirds and to Finland for Golden Eagles and Black Grouse will give you a glimpse of the delights of these three destinations.
