Welcome to Cornwall Wildlife Trust's events calendar. Everyone is welcome to attend our events which are held all over Cornwall. Events range from walks and talks to working parties and evening get togethers.

Donations from non-members are appreciated and all children must be accompanied by adults unless otherwise stated.

Wild Penwith: cliffland gorse clearance at MorvahHelp us to cut gorse stems on the cliff top to make room for the cattle to graze this coastal grassland. Enjoy the fresh air, the exercise and the stunning sea view. There will be a bonfire with baked potatoes and the chance to take home some firewood to keep you warm! Families are very welcome, children must be over 8 years and will be their parent/carer’s responsibility. There will be a 10-15 minute walk from the parking to the clearance area. Booking is essential.

Shetland Isles through the lens at St.BlazeyAn illustrated talk by Peter King. Peter and his wife, Brenda, have travelled throughout Scotland on their photography wildlife trips. This year they spent a month on the Shetland Isles photographing the wildlife. Collections taken. Full Bar and parking facilities. All are welcome.

Fowey winter rockpool rambleAt the edge of the Fowey VMCA sits Readymoney beach, whose fringe of rocky shore provides shelter for starfish, crabs and fish. The Trust joins Friends of Fowey Estuary for a Winter Ramble. Free, but donations to the Friends of Fowey Estuary Group are welcome.

Make your birds a home in FalmouthBOOKING ESSENTIAL. It is National Nest Box Week so join us in making one of two types of nest box for your garden birds: either open-fronted for robins or small-holed for blue tits. We will provide you with the tools, instructions, raw materials & expert help, but you will need to bring an adult with you to help you. Time slots of 11am til 1pm or 2pm til 4pm. Suitable for children aged 6+. £4.50 donation requested to help cover materials.

Bruce Taggart from Cornwall Bird Watching and Preservation Society will tell us the work he is doing with local volunteers to tag and monitor these magnificent creatures. The grouse leks are some of the most incredible display rituals in the bird world, each species has its own unique and bizarre performances, which involve ritualised dancing, curious vocalisations and extraordinary postures.
