This website is about the world of the grey
seals in south-west England. Like the book it accompanies, it is mainly an account of
Stephen Westcott's year-round studies of the seals and their breeding sites, their way of
life and the dangers they face. This site offers only a small selection of what the book has to offer - lots of information, most of which is entirely original, being based on the author's own observations. It is written in a language which is lyrical rather than scientific, accompanied by beautiful photographs, maps of sea-caves, and much more.
