Recording Wildlife
Recording Cornish wildlife
Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly have an exceptional natural environment
and some extraodinary flora and fauna.
Cornwall Wildlife Trust hosts the Environmental Records
Centre for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (ERCCIS). ERCCIS collate,
manage and make available a huge amount of information about the wildlife
and
geology of Cornwall
and the Isles of Scilly.
Much of our wildlife and plants are under-recorded and your records
can make a difference.
Remember … every record
can make a difference
Records sent to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust may be entered on a
computer database and used for nature conservation, research and
education. Records may be passed on to other recorders where appropriate.
Recording British wildlife
Throughout Britian there are hundreds of different wildlife recording
groups, each with its own speciality.
If you have British wildlife records which are not Cornish then
please check here to see which
organisation is most appropriate to send your records to or contact
your local
Wildlife Trust.
Recording wildlife abroad
If you are travelling abroad don't forget to check if there are
organisations which want your records.
See our travelogs section
for details of wildlife trips abroad.
