Free wildlife fun day in Saltash on 7th August

On Saturday 7th August from 10am to 4pm Churchtown Farm Community Nature Reserve in Saltash is holding its annual open day, where visitors can get up close to nature on this Cornwall Wildlife Trust reserve. There will something for all the family at this free event, with children’s activities such as face painting, falconry displays, as well as guided walks in the morning and afternoon to show everyone the beauty of this wonderful nature reserve. 
Refreshments will also be on offer all day, with craft demonstrations and a whole host of stalls to spark anyone’s interest in nature and wildlife; this will be a day not to be missed. Hazel Rawlings, of the Friends of Churchtown Farm Community Nature Reserve, says, ‘Our aims are to raise awareness of this nature reserve, to celebrate its beauty, diversity and the opportunities it offers to all for the enjoyment of its special qualities.’
All the activities will be in Wearde Park, the field next to the entrance to the reserve in Wearde Road. Remember, entrance is completely free so come along and enjoy this fun day out!
