What amazing amphibians can be found in Cornwall? What lurks in the depths of Breney’s ponds? What does the common frog look like in its various forms? To find answers to these questions, come along and explore Breney Common, one of Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s biggest nature reserves. The Trust’s Out and About Club is holding an exciting event with the Trust’s reptile expert to hand, who will show you the best places to look for exciting creatures such as lizards, grass snakes and adders.

It began when Fox Club, the long running junior membership of the Trust, noticed that its events were always well attended by their younger members. However, there was not much to offer that age group, so now the Trust is trialling even more adventurous parent-free events for older kids.

Kirstie Francis, Membership and Fox Club Co-ordinator of Cornwall Wildlife Trust says, “We have set up our Out and About Club for all the 11 to 16 year olds around Cornwall, so that they are able to join in our fantastic events too. We want to give them an opportunity to learn, engage with the outdoors and appreciate the wildlife that can be found around them”
