Killiow Golf Club raise money for Cornwall Wildlife Trust
25th February 2008
Cornwall Wildlife Trust has received a donation of £450 from the ladies of Killiow Golf Club. The Trust was chosen as their charity to support by Rosemary Wedlock in her year as Lady Captain 2007. The money was raised from a variety of activities including a charity competition and a series of raffles throughout the year.
Rosemary said, “We decided to support Cornwall Wildlife Trust because we are keen to see the Cornish countryside preserved for both wildlife and the people of Cornwall to enjoy”.
Marie Preece, Marketing and Fundraising Manager for the Trust commented, “The ladies at Killiow Golf Club have done a fantastic job in raising money for the Trust. We were delighted at the news that they had decided to choose to donate the money to the Trust for conservation work.”
The money will be used for wildlife conservation work at the Trust’s Kennall Vale nature reserve near Ponsanooth.
