Local Groups
The
Cornwall Wildlife Trust has both informal and formal local groups and
a number of special interest groups, all working together with staff
at headquarters to spread the "conservation message".
Local groups are an integral
part of the Trust's decision-making structure. Each local group that
wishes it, has a representative who sits on the Trust's Council, the
governing and policy making body.
Whatever your interest, your local group should have something
to offer you. For further details contact Trust
head quarters.
Some local groups organise and co-ordinate a wide variety of
activities in which members can become involved. Natural
history walks, talks and slide shows always seem to be popular.
Some get involved in the maintenance of their local nature reserves,
and many help by hand-delivering our magazines
to members. They also fundraise for us, so that we may continue
working towards our goals.
Some groups also carry out survey work for the wildlife in their
area - which can be great fun and very rewarding.
