Important geological sites can sometimes be threatened by such things as development proposals or coastal defence schemes. Designation as a County Geology Site can help in the conservation of these sites.
The publication of the Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Geodiversity Action Plan has provided much needed guidance for the future of earth science conservation in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
