What is your favourite wild animal?
Freddy Fox wanted to know what your favourite wild animal is. So Freddy asked you to get your paper and pens out and send him in a drawing of your favourite wild animal and let him know why it is special. Could it be an insect, a sea creature or maybe something furry? This competition ended on the 1st September 2010 and the winner is James Taylor, aged 6 from Truro with his zebra. He tells us that this animal is special because each zebra has its own, unique pattern of stripes, different from all other zebras in the world, just as each human has unique fingerprints!

Design a remarkable animal!
There is a beautiful book by Tony Meeuwissen called Remarkable Animals. The book is about imaginary animals like the Hossum - it has the head of a hermit crab, the body of a possum and the tail of a weevil. So for our competition Freddy Fox wanted you to think of your own imaginary 'remarkable animal' and draw us a picture of it along with its name. The winner of this competition which ended in September 2009 is: Holly Pearce, aged 10 from Padstow with 'Doxeddydeer'. Great 'remarkable animal' Holly!
