Field skills

Wild creatures are shy and very secretive. To be able to watch them it helps if you practise your "field skills".

Most animals have a very keen sense of smell and will run away if they know you're about. Try to approach the animal from "downwind". This means that the wind should be blowing in your face and carrying your scent away without you being caught out.

Pick a good spot, get yourself comfortable, sit quietly and just wait. You should be well rewarded.
