Evergreens
Although evergreen trees do not lose all their leaves at once
during the winter months, their leaves aren't all permanent. Eventually
each leaf will die and drop off but the tree will grow a new one
to replace it straight away and not all the leaves die at the same
time, so you probably wouldn't notice. It's a bit like some of our
hairs coming out when we comb it.
The veins in the leaves of evergreen trees are usually arranged
in parallel lines, whereas those of deciduous leaves tend to be
fan-shaped.
