Here are a few good sources of information and activity ideas which
some of you may not have come across yet:
The Young People's Trust for the Environment
The Young People's
Trust for the Environment is a charity that aims to encourage
young people's understanding of the environment and the need for
sustainability.
It has loads of fact sheets written especially for young people;
many of them can be downloaded directly from the site.
There are also a number of Action Sheets on subjects such as recycling,
constructing nest boxes and making paper, to help you to do something
to help the environment and wildlife yourself.
WWF Learning
WWF Learning
is an Internet Event for primary and secondary schools linked to
the forthcoming World Summit on Sustainable Development. It features
jigsaws, quizzes, news and Internet debates.
Nature Detectives
Nature
Detectives is an education project a project run by the Woodland
Trust., exploring the natural world and the changing timing of the
seasons across the UK, with the opportunity to
- contribute to scientific research about the impact of climate
change on the UK's trees, woodland and wildlife
- record seasonal events you've seen, such as bare trees
- improve your id skills & help monitor seasonal change
