Wild Cornwall No.95 Autumn 2004
Editorial
It's that time of year again. Maybe you watch the leaves fall with
a sinking heart, as I do. At least we have the compensation of a
marvellous array of fungi as well as the mixed blessings of increasingly
blending seasons. Thanks to the photographic legacy of Barry Candy
you can enjoy the beauty of some of Cornwall's fungal treasures
from the comfort of your armchair before venturing out on a foray
. Barry also managed Devichoys Wood, our featured reserve.
Our members and supporters leave lasting legacies to the Trust
in many ways, all of which are important and greatly appreciated.
Babs Atkins left her precious St George's Island in the Trust's
care, while others have left money which enables us to continue
conserving Cornwall's special places and the species that inhabit
or visit them. If you are considering making a will, see details
of Will Aid, running this November.
Finally, we thank all who support the Trust, whether actively or
through membership, and hope that our 10,000 members and many more
will continue to support the wildlife of wild Cornwall in whatever
way they can.
