Send us your marine wildlife sighting

If you enjoy your coastline, perhaps by walking the dog on the beach or sailing your boat offshore, you too can become one of our marine recorders!

Tell us when you see marine wildlife as soon as you see it. Report anything unusual washed up on the beach, exciting in a rockpool, or interesting offshore in the sea. Your sightings will tell us more about what is happening in our marine environment and help us understand and protect our special coastline.

The seas around the south west are amongst the richest areas for spectacular animals including whales, dolhpins, sharks and seabrids. We need your help to find out more about these charismatic animals. Submit your records via our In the Sea recording form.

Our coastline hosts an array of important seashore habitats from sandy beaches to rocky reefs and muddy estuaries. Please tell us what you see along the shore to help us understand and protect our special coastline. Submit your records via our On the Shore recording form.
