CEC Ltd is a specialist environmental consultancy, established in 1992 to meet the demand for accurate and professional ecological advice. In 2003 a Landscape Architecture service was introduced. The consultancy is based at the Trust's offices at Five Acres, near Truro in Cornwall.
Ecology services are wide-ranging and include Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species surveys including bats, barn owl, dormouse, otter, badger, reptile and bird surveys, National Vegetation Classification surveys, Ecological Impact Assessments for EIA projects, Farm Environmental Plans and Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) Assessments.
Landscape Architecture services include masterplanning, landscape design for a wide range of projects including residential developments, community and education facilities and heritage landscapes, Landscape & Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), consultancy services for renewable energy projects, tree surveys and assessments.
CEC Ltd has the expertise and technology to produce GIS mapping for ecological and landscape projects, computer-generated zones of theoretical visibility drawings for LVIA, photo montages and wireframes for wind turbine projects, visualisations and illustrations of development proposals, and detail drawings for landscape construction projects.
Profits
CEC Ltd covenants all profit to Cornwall Wildlife Trust, providing essential funding towards the Trust's conservation work.
