Frugi

Frugi logoCornwall Wildlife Trust have a very successful relationship with local children's organic clothing company Frugi. It started back in 2006 when Frugi selected the Trust to receive a share of their annual sales turnover through the 1% For The Planet scheme. We haven't looked back since. Lucy and Kurt Jewson, founders of Frugi, are both trained marine biologists particularly interested scientific research. So they chose to donate their money to the Trust's Marine Strandings Network, where research is at the core of all work carried out. One example of this is the Cetacean Bycatch Evidence Evaluation Project (BEEP), run by the Network. The project aims to develop a scientifically acceptable method of identifying bycatch evidence on the beach without need for a post mortem examination.

“We’ve been supporting Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Marine Standings Network for nearly three years as the cutting edge research work that they do is amazing. We want to help the Trust raise as much money as possible to protect Cornwall’s marine wildlife and would encourage other businesses to do the same and donate today.” Lucy and Kurt Jewson, co-founders for Frugi organic children’s clothing.
