Thank You Week 2022

Thank you

.

This February we held our first-ever Thank You Week! Kicking off on 14 February we wanted to recognise our supporters for their amazing contributions to Cornwall’s wildlife, no matter how big or small. Our first ever thank-a-thon was a big part of the week and team members from across the charity helped us share the love!  Check out our video of the day below:

The past few years have been testing for us all. The pandemic, climate crisis and continuing loss of Cornwall’s nature have taken their toll. But throughout it all, we knew we could count on you, our amazing community of wildlife lovers, to help us protect Cornwall’s creatures and wild places when it mattered most.

Our work would not be possible without your support. It’s you - our members, volunteers, donors, fundraisers and partners - who make our work possible.

It’s thanks to you that over 13,000 species call our 59 nature reserves home.  Nature reserves that volunteers like India (above) help to maintain.  With your support, we are able to lead ambitious nature recovery projects such as; working with farmers to vaccinate badgers, protecting Cornwall’s marine life through community engagement initiatives, and restoring habitats as part of the G7 Legacy Project for Nature Recovery.

Ann and Tony Jenkin are two Beef Farmers from West Penwith who have supported the work of the Wildlife Trust for many years.  We were delighted to catch up with them recently (in their kitchen!) to hear why they support our work.

Supporting us can take many forms, from our longstanding members like Terry and Jean who have been instrumental in helping the charity get up and running, to our Open Garden volunteers who join us out in-the-wild!

From all of us here at Cornwall Wildlife Trust – thank you for everything that you do.
