Tevi (Cornish for Grow) is an exciting new ERDF funded project aiming to help Cornwall make the most of nature, its prized asset. It is delivered via a partnership of the University of Exeter, Cornwall Council, Cornwall Development Company and Cornwall Wildlife Trust. It is a unique support programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, in that it sets out to both build businesses and enhance the natural environment.

The project is designed to be a time-saving bolt-on resource and consultancy service, helping enterprises make money whilst reducing waste and growing the environment. It can offer up to £1,000 worth of support per business, with the potential for further grants. You will discover more about this ground-breaking opportunity at the event.

Serena Pettigrew-Jolly, Business Support Manager for Cornwall Wildlife Trust says,

“We are delighted that there are already many local businesses with a passion for a thriving natural environment as well as healthy communities and commerce. This year’s Wild Business networking event aims to celebrate the wonderful work being delivered by Cornwall’s business community in terms of Environmental Growth and to also inspire more to get involved. This event, which has been organised in partnership with the exciting Tevi project, is the perfect setting to meet like-minded businesses and share ideas.

I encourage any business who wants to stand out from the crowd and support the important work we do to join us. Our aim is to find a way of working together for wildlife and people in ways to suit your individual business, no matter what size. We live in a beautiful part of the world, and partnerships go a long way in helping us protect it.”

Dr. Dan Bloomfield, Project Manager at Tevi, says,

“There is hardly a business in Cornwall that does not depend upon the quality of the Cornish environment in some way, and all will make an impact upon that environment. We think that making the most of that natural asset should mean doing more business and doing that business better, smarter and cleaner. We’re looking forward to this event very much, and discussing with Cornish businesses how we can help them grow”.

The Wild Business event will be running from 8:30 am to 12 pm and is FREE to attend. Includes complimentary breakfast, inspiring talks, networking, workshops, and refreshments.
