Cornish Wildlife Walks in German language will be taking place from 8th to the 14th of July, and all money raised will be donated to Cornwall Wildlife Trust. Two members of staff from NABU, a leading German wildlife charity twinned with the Trust, will be coming to Cornwall to volunteer their time by offering guided walks in German.
Ruediger Wohlers from NABU said, “Cornwall has become our second homeland, and so we try to serve Cornwall a little bit in this way.We will try to do our very best to present Cornwall’s outstanding natural beauty, culture, history, and fairytales. The benefit of all walks – participants are asked for a donation - will be given 100% to Cornwall Wildlife Trust and be used for their fantastic conservation projects.”
In the past, these walks have been very popular with tourists who are exploring Cornwall from all German speaking countries; Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Eastern Belgium and Liechtenstein.Walks are also very popular with German speaking people who have moved to the county or those who simply want to practice their conversational language skills.Jasmin Appleby, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Cornwall Wildlife Trust, says “We are delighted that Ruediger and Heike will be once again in Cornwall to hold these walks and thank them for their ongoing committed support to the Trust.”
