  • EcoWorld - information and answers about Earth's energy and food supplies, species, ecosystems and projects to preserve them.
  • Ethical Consumer - the UK's only alternative consumer organisation looking at the social and environmental records of the companies behind the brand names.
  • Good Beach Guide - the Good Beach Guide is the only truly independent guide to the quality of Britain’s bathing waters.
  • Green Directory - you have to register with this website but there's lots of jobs and events there if you do.
  • HDRA - Henry Doubleday Research Association's Organic Network for Schools - encouraging schools to sow, grow and nurture plants using only organic methods.
  • National Trails - details over 2,500 miles (4,000km) of the nation's favourite rambles and rides, offering some of the best walking, riding and cycling experiences in the country.
  • ORCA (Organisation Cetacea) - a non-profit-making conservation and research organisation dedicated to the whales, dolphins, seabirds and other marine life of the Bay of Biscay, English Channel and Northeast Atlantic.
  • Recycle for Cornwall - the Recycle for Cornwall campaign has been developed to raise public awareness of recycling and to provide consumers with a compelling reason to recycle.
  • Ruralnet - this organisation links together organisations and individuals involved in rural development.
  • Somerset Environmental Records Centre - SERC is a partnership organisation working closely with the Somerset Wildlife Trust, Somerset County Council, Somerset's District Councils, English Nature, Environment Agency and the Exmoor National Park Authority.
  • Sustrans - the sustainable transport charity - works on practical projects to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport in order to reduce motor traffic and its adverse effects.
  • The Little Pledge - a regional campaign aimed at getting people - in large numbers - to take little steps to save energy and stop climate change.
