Fox Club birthday parties

As part of the Fox Club birthday party package you will receive:

• Initial liaising to discuss and organise details of the party.

• A pre-designed party invitation for you to give to your guests. This can be either emailed or printed and posted to you as necessary.

• The hire of Five Acres meeting room, use of Five Acres Nature Reserve, plus parking in our car park if required.

• A Cornwall Wildlife Trust member of staff or dedicated volunteer (CRB checked) to carry out the activities.

• A location map of Five Acres, Allet.

Details of your Fox Club birthday party:

• The party activities will last for two hours. The room will be decorated for your arrival, including a birthday banner and personalised birthday welcome sign. All wildlife activity equipment needed for the party will be provided and set up (i.e. pond dipping nets). Arts and crafts materials is provided for your party guests to create into fantastic creatures to take home. Pack-up and clean-up of the event.

Choices of party activities are:

• Under Water Beasties - discover the delights of pond dipping and meet the inhabitants of the deep - whizzing whirligig bettles, dangerous dragonfly larvae and tremendous tadpoles. After the fun of the pond you can make some underwater beasties of your own from recycled and scrap material to take home.

• Bugs and Creepy Crawlies – a bug hunt for those that dare! Discover what creeps and crawls, what flies and what slimes beneath our feet with our bug guns and bug viewers. Make your own mini beasts from recycled and scrap materials to take home.

• Flutter as Butterflies – make butterfly themed masks, wings and hats with our arts and crafts, then play lots of fun wildlife games inside or out depending on the weather.

• Awesome Amphibians – make reptile and amphibian themed masks and hats with our arts and crafts, then play lots of fun wildlife games inside or out depending on the weather.

• Ladybirds and Butterflies Memories and Treasures – a wildlife themed treasure hunt around our woods at Five Acres nature reserve with a treasures stick, then back to the arts and crafts room to use your ‘memories' to make some amazing creatures and keepsakes.

Cost of party: Please note changes in price.

• £130 for up to 10 children, additional children £5.50 per head, up to a maximum of 15 children. All parties are subject to availability.

A deposit of £50.00 is required upon booking your party.

Party times:

• Parties are available at weekends only.

• 10.00 am to 12.00 noon OR 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

Important information for parents:

• Fox Club parties will be run by a member of our education team. It will be the parents' responsibility for the care and supervision of children at all times. Outdoor activities are subject to weather conditions, if severe we have alternative indoor activities.

• The parent must provide no less than one adult to five children.

• Children must be suitably clothed for both indoor and outdoor activities.

• If you wish to supply food for the party then you are very welcome. However this remains solely your responsibility, and details must be discussed upon booking. The parent/s must also clear up and take away all food and rubbish at the end of the party, this will not be the responsibility of Cornwall Wildlife Trust.

• If due to any circumstances we have to cancel your booking you will receive a full refund of your despoit and be notifed as soon as possible. Your refund will be made by cheque.

• If you cancel within three weeks of the date of your booking your deposit will not be refunded.

• If you cancel before three weeks of the date of your booking a refund of your despoit, minus 20% for administration costs, will be made.
