Local and specialist groups

Cornwall Wildlife Trust has both informal and formal local groups and a number of special interest groups, all working together to conserve Cornwall's wildlife.

Local groups

Local groups are an integral part of the Trust's decision-making structure. Each local group that wishes, has a representative who sits on the Trust's Council, the governing and policy making body for the Trust. Whatever your wildlife interest, your local group should have something to offer you.

Local group activities

Some local groups organise and co-ordinate a wide variety of activities in which members can become involved. These include natural history walks, talks and slide shows.

Some get involved in the maintenance of their local nature reserves, and many help by hand-delivering our magazines to members. They also fundraise for us, so that we may continue working towards our goals.

Some groups also carry out survey work for the wildlife in their area - which can be great fun and very rewarding.
